Having completed his doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology at University College London, Guy has practised predominantly in services for older people and community rehabilitation services. He initially worked in the London Borough of Hillingdon for three years. For the last two and half years he has been heading the older adult psychology service in the London Borough of Brent.
Guy’s particular clinical interests include neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation, and the assessment of capacity, in the context of stroke, dementia, neurological conditions, and traumatic brain injury.
Although not currently engaged in any research activities, Guy has a particular interest in the concept of self in dementia, having studied the area for his doctoral thesis.
In addition to work for the NHS and at the Cardinal Clinic, Guy also undertakes neuropsychological assessments for the Court for personal injury claims and forensic cases.
