Dr Lalitha de Silva trained in General Psychiatry in London (Charing Cross and St Georges Hospitals). She held an NHS Consultant post in Berkshire working in acute psychiatry and in Eating Disorders. She set up a comprehensive specialist Eating Disorders Service for Berkshire and was a Clinical Director for the trust for 5 years. She has been a senior examiner for the Royal College of Psychiatrists, clinical tutor for junior psychiatrists and Regional Advisor for Continuing Education for senior psychiatrists for 5 years.
Dr de Silva has been working in private practice in Windsor for over 20 years and has outreach clinics in Reading, Wokingham and London. She is currently the Clinical Director at Cardinal Clinic. She has extensive experience in the treatment of a wide range of general psychiatric disorders. She is a specialist in Eating Disorders and related addictions. She has published in the field of general psychiatry and eating disorders and presented at conferences and medical meetings.
