Allison Rigg is a highly respected and experienced Chartered Clinical Psychologist specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Allison utilises an outcome oriented approach and most current CBT techniques; treating all aspects of Adult Mental Health. Alongside, Allison utilises a Schema Focused approach, Narrative and CAT techniques.
Allison originally trained as a General Nurse, gained a first class Honours degree in Psychology and went on to complete a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology working in Forensic and Adult Mental Health settings.
Allison’s practice is now in the private sector. She has an international client reputation.
Allison treats all disorders and complex cases in Adult Mental Health and works as part of the Eating Disorder team at Cardinal Clinic.
Allison has also been instrumental in developing a specialist department for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and a wider range of therapeutic groups treating depression, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, OCD, happiness, grief and mindfulness techniques.
Allison delivers a range of teaching seminars on Adult Mental Health and participates in staff training of CBT.
