Practice Based GP Tutorials


As part of our ongoing commitment to education, we offer practice based seminars providing the opportunity to increase your knowledge of specific mental health issues.

A Consultant Psychiatrist and/or therapist will attend your practice and deliver a talk on the psychiatric topic of your choice. Each talk lasts approximately one hour (unless a shorter time has been requested) and will consist of the following:

  • Theory relating to the session topic
  • Practical ways a GP can help their patients
  • Treatments available at Cardinal Clinic
  • Q & A / Case Study discussion

The case study discussion gives you the opportunity to discuss any current patients that have mental health issues relating to the session’s topic. The Psychiatrist or therapist will be able to offer advice and treatment options for your patient. Patient confidentiality will be maintained.

The tutorials can be arranged at a time to suit you and we can even provide lunch. CPD certificates can be provided on request.
