Dr Deepa Deo is a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist who works in the NHS in Surrey.
She did her basic medical qualification in Mumbai, India followed by MD in Psychological Medicine. She continued her post graduate training in UK for the MRCPsych at the Charing Cross rotation in London, followed by higher specialist training at St.George's Hospital Medical School training scheme.
Dr Deo has been working as a Consultant Psychiatrist since 2001. She has extensive experience in the treatment of a wide range of adult mental health disorders. Her NHS practice focuses on complex mental illnesses with dual diagnosis, amd also mental illnesses in the physically ill and self harming behaviours. Her other areas of interest is mood disorders including depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder.
She has been a tutor for doctors at all stages of training for nearly six years. She is an examiner for the Royal College's clinical examination and an Assessor for consultant appointment panels for the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
